Our Committee

This is the team that makes it all happen. The Club is run solely by volunteers and we always need more people to help! From weekly registration and social media updates to Assistant Coaches and Race Meet Managers, if there's something you want to be involved in we have a role for you!

Mat Barber

CHAIR

Endurance

Mat joined the Club in 2017 and proudly runs in this vest for anything from 5k up to marathons.
He took on the Chair role from Vikki in 2023 and you'll see him at the front desk welcoming members to each track session.

Sprints/hurdles Coach

Sprints

Vikki joined the Club on its opening night in 2016 and has been running the Junior Club since 2017. She took the Chair baton from Andy Melrose in 2022 and passed it to Mat Barber in 2023.
A 100m hurdler in her prime she spends much of her time shouting encouragement at our track athletes, as one of our Senior Club sprints/hurdles coaches.

Josh dived in at the deep end taking on the Membership Secretary role in 2022 and since then has trained as an Assistant Coach and helps run the Junior Club.
Josh will run anything from 800m - 10k and can occasionally be spotted in the Sprints group too!

Alice is a Southwark AC veteran of nearly ten years. She loves a half marathon and you'll see her racking up the points for us at track meets.
She's also one of our Officials.

Nick has been a member since the Club existed. Initially a Park Runner, having TWICE won a Club London Marathon place he will now run anything from 5k to 50k.

Angharad has been hanging around since the Club started. But she's no slouch - road half marathons and marathons are her distance of choice.

Multi-events

Floyd will have a go at any event and has his sights set high for a number of Masters events.
Not just an all-rounder on the track and field, Floyd helps organise Southern Athletics League meets, is an Official, helps out at the Junior Club and is one of our Throws Coaches.

Multi-events

Ally joined the Club in the early days and is an all-round athlete. He helps organise the Southern Athletics League matches for us - then racks up all the points in as many events as he can fit in.
